Moto G XT1625 4th Gen on Red Pocket?

    Hi,
My husband's old phone is dying and I'd like to buy him a new unlocked one. I am confused as to what works and doesn't on Red Pocket. His current phone is CDMA, so can he just change his SIM card to this one and activate the new one?

It should work just phone on the Moto phone. Red pocket website should tell you.

As long as the SIM card fits, then yes.

After checking reviews, I've decided that particular phone is not very good. I will continue to look for an unlocked CDMA phone. If anyone has any recommendations on a new, unlocked 32GB CDMA phone in the $100-$150 range, I'd appreciate it.

All I can do is talk from personal experience. I love the phones. I have two of the XT1625 32 MB as well as three of the XT1644 64 GB and one XT1644 16 GB. All have performed without problem, except the XT1644 16 GB that I believe has just too little RAM for this particular user. All were purchased from B & H with free shipping and no tax here in Washington state. I paid $104 for the latest XT1625 32GB but it is now about $25 higher. If interested, check often for sales - B & H has them every few weeks.

Thanks for the advice. I looked at reviews on Amazon and it seemed like the recent reviews have gotten worse. Build quality has changed? How long ago did you buy yours?

That looks like a nice phone, but suggesting a $299.99+tax phone to someone wanting to spend $100-$150 seems wrong, lol!

How about this? Good on all 4 carriers. You can get it sooner if you buy from Best Buy, Target or Walmart too.

On eBay, the Orbic Wonder phone can be found in used but like new condition for under $100. Some new listing for $129 and under as well. That's a great price for a phone with the specs it has.

I have a Motorola G4 and it's served me well but it's got one fatal flaw. The proximity sensor is buggy so when you get a phone call and pull the phone away from your face like to hang up or use the dialer to enter data, the display sometimes remains dark.
