    55+ plan price increase

Looks like next week goes from$60 to $70 so get it now to lock in the current rate if you are thinking about getting it

That may cause us to jump. I hate to give up my Select Choice plan but at $70/mo we wouldn't be saving much money.

I already told parents that I’ll go with them to a T-Mobile store this weekend. At $70 it is no longer a good deal especially where I think most 55 and over people don’t use that much data. In the end things always go up. Best to get it in and lock in the $60 price now.

Put it like this after March 15 the 55+ plan goes up to 70.00 per month might as well get the 4 line one plan @ 35.00 each as opposed to 2 line limit on the 55+ plan.

I’m a bit surprised they’re raising the price, given that Verizon is testing out something similar (albeit at a higher price) in Florida. Hopefully Verizon launches it nationwide and forces T-Mobile to lower it again.

That would be something different; Verizon forcing someone’s hand.

    ^^ This.

Agreed that even the "Uncarrier," will respond to pricing competition. Remember when Verizon re-intro'd Unlimited with 10GB's of mobile hotspot?

Right now they provide one of the best value's in wireless with this plan and with no downward pressure the suits at Goldman Sachs thought of a good way to boost their share price.
“The Internet wasn’t meant to be metered in bits and bytes, so it’s insane that wireless companies are still making you buy it this way. The rate plan is dead — it’s a fossil from a time when wireless was metered by every call or text.” John Legere 1/5/2017

How is it not a good deal at $70? That's $35/line (same price as every 5GB prepaid plan), the regular price is $40/line w/ 4 lines. Their best MetroPCS plan is 2 for $60 with only 2GB and none of the T-Mobile One perks.

It is a good deal at $70. It's just a better deal at $60. Happy I pulled the trigger on 55+ least month.

Understood. If you get it at the $60 rate, is that similar to what you're paying now for each of those plans total?

I'd be interested to demo Fi once Sprint and T-Mobile's 5G networks are in full swing.

I was going to add the HD streaming and 10GB of hotspot for 10.00 extra per month come May. I would then cancel it in October. I wonder if they’ll force me over to the new plan when I try to either add it or remove it. I’m not thinking they would but you never know.
