Could Verizon Ever Become Bigger Than AT&T!?

Seems to me that Verizon narrowed the gap some, as I can remember the gap in market cap being much larger before, but I hadn't looked in years.

So, with that said what do you think... Is Verizon becoming larger than AT&T plausible or are things not as close as they seem!?

Anyone know who the other legacy ILEC remaining is, I know it was CenturyLink but I thought I read somewhere they sold most everything off!?

I look forward to a good discussion folks!!!

I think it’s entirely plausible depending on how well Verizon executes on 5G and if the Time Warner deal falls through.

I think so, yes. Mainly because of FirstNet and AT&T’s willingness to add many more sites across the network.

Uh...I don't think that's what this post is about. Also, your point is backward from the question.

A lot will depend on the time Warner deal, that goes through and no, it's not even close. Even if it falls through att has their hands in a lot that Verizon doesn't. Mainly direct TV and att Mexico. These are revenue streams verizon has no answer for right now.

I'm thinking the buyout of Vodafone shares must have somehow allowed for the gap to be closed somehow.

That's really the only major thing I can think of. We all know Oath isn't the reason.

I agree, 5G implementation will play a large part in Market Caps in the near future. Separately, I always thought it was a slam dunk that Verizon should purchase Dish. If nothing else for the subscribers 🤷🏾*♂️.

I'm still waiting to see what their OTT offering is going look like be it through Oath or direct.

I figured you were sipping adult beverages in Mexico playing on Speedtest again.
