T Mobile Nashville and Hopkinsville, KY

Good morning, thinking of taking advantage of the 55+ plan and move from AT&T.

I wanted to see if anyone could comment on T Mobile speeds and coverage in the Nashville, TN area, also in the Clarksville, TN/Hopkinsville, KY area.

    Thanks

Personally I haven't been through there in a few years but recently this was posted in another thread and it appears Nashville is covered pretty good

Rootmetrics has T-Mobile with the highest combined score in this link Nashville in their current 1H2018 report.

Also, I think you should consider a 600 Mhz Band 71 phone and West Tennessee that will could cover Nashville looks to be getting a lot of Band 71 by the end of this year.

T-Mobile Band 71 build out plan by EOJ 2018.

i dunno i had t-mobile in los angeles and it was a horrible experience. i could not even hit a 1 mbps download speed and my calls were slow at going through as well. i moved to verizon and it's an amazing experience as the do have good network mgnt vs t-mo in my thoughts. you get what you pay for and wireless isn't no different. out here in LA t-mo network is just to congested to handle the loads being put on it i dunno about TN but you might get lucky.

I’ve been in Nashville since February and the network is top notch here based on my experience. Band 12 has done wonders for rural areas and for building penetration here, and they’ve been adding lots of capacity to sites around here lately. My friends that have AT&T and Verizon run into more data issues than I do these days, which says a lot because two years ago when I visited here it was a different story.

I think it comes down to population density. Lacking high-band spectrum, there's just so much that T-Mobile can do in densely populated urban environments. I've visited Nashville several times in the last few years and had no real issues there. T-Mobile has a fair spectrum portfolio in that market, which will only improved by winter '19 when the TV stations clear 600 MHz.

I live in Nashville (Hermitage) and have no issues with T-Mobile at all. Service is solid and fast throughout middle TN and southern KY.
