    Koodo Out of Province Plans

Now that the ban has been lifted, are these plans still obtainable? What is the current method?

As far as I can tell, the QC plans can still be obtained. There are many ads on Kijiji advertising them for $100 fee. But it can still be done for free. The process is still the same.

My brother's girlfriend is now in the process. She changed the number on her new ON line to QC number and this Friday will try to change the plan. The only difference now is when you go to change the number in this step, instead of "Find a new number" you have to select "Transfer your phone number". That takes you to the old site, where you choose "option 1 I need a new mobile phone number".

We'll see how it goes with the plan change and the number port for her.

The loophole still works. No issues changing to the QC $49 plan.

Unfortunately no. That promo was over on May 31, I believe.

It's on Koodo's website right now:

Bonus 2 GB of data available

Bonus 2 GB of data is applicable with all new activations or with the purchase a new phone with the Tab.

Hmm, strange. It's not shown when switching plans.

Ontario website right now shows 'Bonus 3 GB data add-on for 24 months'. Quebec website shows the permanent 'Bonus 2 GB data add-on'.

When your brother's girlfriend signed up with an ON number, the ON 3GB add-on should have been available, i would have thought (ON plans $50 and up). Maybe switching to a QC plan is no longer considered a new activation?

That's what I was thinking. It's not considered a new activation.

So the option for "Transfer your phone number" and then "I need a new mobile phone number" doesn't work anymore?
