Hey, I'm not seeing a $45 8GB plan on Public Mobile?

For what i know, you can setup a regular plan in the province of, port a prepaid sim card with, for example, Quebec #, change plan to the plan that you want, then port your real # afterwards. ANyone can confirm?

No need to port prepaid number. Just change the number to QC in Self Serve, then change the plan in the next billing cycle.

    Double referral
Port your number to Public (+$25)
Port your number to Koodo (+$50)

They literally are PAYING US to churn ($75 + $180 !!!)

And since your friend over on Public also gets a free $25 kickback he can easily hook you up on promo plan

well ppl like me and I'm sure lot of others too don't have a Public Mobile #, i'm on koodo's 5G unlimited anytime minutes with $10/1G data overage no shock-free "Manitoba plan" from the 2016 era. I'm using a 613 number ported in on this plan as well.

So i don't think I could even get this deal offered to me. I'm just going to do the QC plan instead 56 for 10G then port my 613 number to that

    Still not worth it

    $40 / 8GB = $5* per GB
    $56 / 10GB = $5.60 per GB

Plus the fact you can never get a Tab, have to worry about calling in to client care etc

    Loopholes are so 2017

*actually much less due to $180 port credit + $50 refer credit

The only way to know is to try it. You can always cancel the new line if it doesn't work.

I would have to agree that jumping through flaming hoops for a QC plan is not as good as being offered a migration plan for being with Public Mobile. How can any out of province plan beat $35/5GB or $40/8GB with $180 bill credit plus referral credits for Koodo and Public Mobile. The plans are medium tab eligible. I am somewhat astonished that there isn't any meaningful discussion on the Public Mobile forum about the migration deals being offered on a persistent basis since February. People looking for an out of province plan should consider getting a Public Mobile plan and sitting back and waiting for a good migration offer to cap off 2018.
