Can a Prepaid phone be used on a monthly paid phone?

I don't have a contract, but pay for my AT&T monthly.

Can I buy a prepaid phone, move the SIM over from my broken phone, and just keep going?

I did that with two GO phones 4 years ago, but things might have changed.
    Thanks.

As stated above, you can use a prepaid ATT phone for your postpaid service.

Yup. I bought pre-paid iPhone SE's for my parents for Christmas and they are working great on post-paid. No un-locking or calling CS required. Just move the sim cards over or if it is an old card, request new ones.

The only issue you may run into is if you ever want to get the devices unlocked through At&t. They may deny the unlock because the At&t prepaid requirements were never met to unlock them. You'll have no issues using them on At&t at all though.
