    New iphones pricing and availability?

Any Freedom folks have any info on what the new tab rates will be for the old X or the new Xs/Xs Max? Or how best to order one?

All I know is I was an idiot and picked up an iPhone X 256 about a month ago. I no longer see 256GB on their site so they must be exhausting all stock on that model.

As for why I did it, I just didn’t want to wait and omg the prices of the new ones are INSANE.

I guess if you couldn't get approved for a mortgage, you may as well use some of that down payment on an Xs Max (512gb) for a cool $2000 before taxes...

I'm more interested in knowing whether Freedom will support the eSIM. Using Freedom for the cheap and plentiful data plans in a dual-SIM config with one of the Big 3 might be the ideal use case for me - currently I'm rocking two separate phones with two separate plans (one Freedom, one Telus) because I absolutely need coverage in some areas that Freedom doesn't do well in.

Support for the eSIM would be awesome.

I wonder what it takes to get Apple Watch support... Some of the big guys aren't even doing that, but that would be amazing.

New iphones are now showing on the freedom website.

Unfortunately I tried to test out the hardware upgrade section of My Account, and it said I am not eligible for a hardware upgrade, even though I presumably passed the credit check when I became a Pay After customer. Is anyone able to access that section (add phone to existing service)?

After phoning in they told me the system is glitchy and pre-orders would have to be made in store. Called the local store to see if they would be allotted any... They had no idea a new iphone was coming lol.

I just did a pre-order on the Xs Max (512GB) and pick it up on the 21/09/2018 from the Apple Store. Yes, the price is insane but the specs are worth it (to a degree). I have always liked iPhone but find it lacks in comparison to Android for specs/features. The new iPhone now has the size, specs are on point and even some of the software features are on point to that of Android which users have come to love.

As for pricing, not confirmed but I'm told the TAB will be $50 monthly but the upfront cost on models is yet to be determined. $50 tab on top of a monthly rate is still pretty hefty... That's why you see the BIG-3 implement high priced, low data allotments for this device. Allows them to keep their ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) high while subsidizing a phone and knowing fully they'll make bucket-loads of revenue off data overages.

I just checked out the pricing of the other carriers and I have to say, Freedom seems to be the most competitive by far. Will be interested in the Tab pricing for the Xr in October as my wife will be looking for a new device around then.

It looks like freedom just updated their site with iphone pricing.

Iphone Xs 64gb starts at $40/month on tab boost ($0 down) with $50 plan. They are discounting this particular model by $419.
