Store agent will open up OneView/FastAct and choose your mobile number. They will proceed to do a Hardware upgrade. On the first screen they will uncheck “Use Existing Sim” in this field the rep will enter the EID of your phone.
For the IMEI field the rep will have to enter the IMEI of a series4 Apple Watch. After hitting tab a radio button “Get SIM” will show up next to the EID field.
Rep will press “Get SIM” which will generate a sim starting in 893026.
Rep will copy the newly generated sim and CLOSE the hardware upgrade. Never clicking “next step”

After closing Hardware Upgrade the rep will go to SIM Replacement. They will paste the generated sim copied earlier into the field and submit this change.

At this time you will turn your phone off and remove the physical SIM Card. After waiting a few moments turn the phone on and connect it to WiFi.

Rep will navigate browser to bell.ca/eSim

On Phone under Settings go to Cellular > Add Cellular Plan

Scan the QR code on the webpage and follow instructions thereafter to finish the activation of the eSim

I left a complaint on Bell's board that this was not an option yet. I received a call back saying it had been escalated but at this time they still did not have a way for existing sims to be transferred to an esim. I expressed my frustration and disappointment, asking them to pass that on to their team though I doubt that will amount to anything.

Activated a new XS Max in December on our corporate account.

Being told this morning by Corporate Care that eSIM is not an option for devices that were purchased with subsidy.

All I want to do is assign my work # to the eSIM in the iPhone and pop my personal line into my phone. Sigh.

Why do you think like this? I need your views on that.

Only very few carriers are listed by Apple; however, none of them are actually ready to deploy it. And many restrictions are there.

I am wondering how many users have benefited from the feature since its launch.

Absolutely correct. I am here in the Middle East. and it was strange to see that only UAE's local SIM carrier Etisalat is giving the eSIM service with proper functionality. There is an another service named Du. But some of the customer experienced some issues which is why users are not going for that.

I was chatting online with the tech support from Bell earlier today, the time frame for the transfer would be available late April or early May.

I’m just done a phone call with the tech support, and the guy stated that transferring the number from the physical sim to esim is not gonna be available at all even now and the future. It would be only available for new number activation. No other options. That is totally B.S.! I am going to pay off the balance of my phone and switch to Virgin that to use esim without a contract and lower monthly fee.

Is there any store willing to help me to do the transfer?

Tried several stores in Vaughan and North York and they are unwilling to even try the method above...
