Question Google One, Do I HAVE to Have It?

I may switch over to Metro on their $60 plan, which they include that Google One thing, but do I HAVE to have this add on or can I ask them to give me the $60 plan and not include it? Because I don't use Google One like at all so to me, I find it a waste, and a waste of money for this plan.

You actually have to download the Google One app and activate it if you want to use it. It will also give you free $5 credit for the Google Store, expires on 12/31/18. The free $5 credit is under the benefits section on the App.

Use it or lose it for free $5 Google Store credit.

It also says if you stop paying for your cell phone service you lose the storage in 7 days.

I cant even activate mine. I downloaded the app, logged in. Says I have 15gb and wants 1.99 for the 100gb. There's no metro upgrade option for us and this was all done not on wifi and thru the link on metro's site.

Uninstall the app and reinstall the app it's a glitch.

$60 plan isn't so much for google one your not paying for that your paying for the 15gb of hotspot and the amazon prime which is normally $12.99 a month if you don't find value in either don't get it.

You are thinking of Android One.

Google One is mostly just a rebranding of Google Drive.

How can I activate the metro-paid Google One membership if I only have IOS devices? I don't need the mobile upload but I do want the storage. If ios users can't even sign up, that's a huge hole in the promotion.

So I can’t get the Google One benefit just because I don’t have Android? Why isn’t that more clearly stated in the ad? Again, I don’t need the app on my phone but I do want the storage for my google account.
