Well the Magenta carrier is sweetening the deal by offering $300 off with eligible trade in! A flagship phone for only $249? You read that right! Tell me more...

This isn't "up to $300," but rather $300 off period by trading in one of the following:

Google: Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel, Pixel XL
    LG: V30, V30+, G7, V20, G6
    Motorola: Z2 Force, Z2 Play, Nexus 6

As a refresher, this thing is seriously packing the goods and rounding out the top are:

6.41 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080
    Snapdragon 845 processor
    8GB of RAM, and there’s
Up to 256GB of built-in storage
    3700mAh battery
    16MP front facing camera / 20MP rear
    Android OS: PIE 9.0

As a T-Mobile flagship it includes all the necessary LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 66, and 71 plus it supports gotta have geek features like 256 QAM, 4×4 MIMO, carrier aggregation, and License Assisted Access (LAA)

The OnePlus 6T goes on sale at 3 a.m. PT on Thursday, Nov. 1, and will be available at T-Mobile stores and on T-Mobile.com. New York City residents can purchase the phone from T-Mo's Times Square store starting Monday at 5 p.m. ET.

T-Mobile will sell the OnePlus 6T model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.

EIP Pricing: $0 down and $24.17 per month for 24 months on EIP.
JOD Pricing: $28 down and $24 per month for 18 months with a $120 buyout.

With eligible trade in at this price this phone is the one to beat and settling for another mid range phone would make no sense. Who's getting one?

Still on the fence? Check out this awesome video:

“The Internet wasn’t meant to be metered in bits and bytes, so it’s insane that wireless companies are still making you buy it this way. The rate plan is dead — it’s a fossil from a time when wireless was metered by every call or text.” John Legere 1/5/2017

$300 trade-in for a OnePlus One is probably the best deal.

Definitely. If I was in the market for a new Android and was previously only considering a mid range device due to price I'd take this over any of the others.

Flagship looks/features with the best LTE-A capabilities on my favorite network at a budget price.

Doubt they'd give you $300 for a One plus one.

Verizon will also support it by the end of the year, and it looks like U.S. Cellular might, too. Other than an in display fingerprint reader (whoopee), it really doesn't bring anything new or innovative to the table.

It is on the T-Mobile page that they will give $300 for anything from a OnePlus One to the OnePlus 6. From the wording it does not sound like it even has to be a phone on an active line. If that is the case, one could buy a cheap phone from the list and trade that in toward the new phone. It is possible they are doing this to clear out some of the phones on the used market.

    Smart dude!

Five years ago T-Mobile was offering a $300 promo when you trade in any Android phone and activate a new line. I remember back then people were going to Wal-Mart and buying cheap $19 Android phones and using those as trade-in's.

I saw the V20 on Swappa for around $130. Not as good as $19 but still a decent benefit. If only they would take the LG G4 I would get rid of that thing before it decides to boot loop again.

So, i was 14th in line for the phone at NYC yesterday.
    Just to clarify some points.
    - Yes you can trade in a 1+ 1. No, it doesn't have to be active, but it does have to work, and it can't be cracked.
    - T-Mo ONLY carries the 128gb in midnight black! ONE SKU.
    - T-Mo version is SINGLE SIM (not sure if the dual sim holder will work), and i heard the bootloader is locked.
    - Carrier Locked to T-Mo for 45 days.
    - Bloatware is on it, but consists of 2 T-Mo apps (can't remember which)
    - $300 is credit. Not sure how it's broken down monthly.

I didn't get the phone, as i wanted the 256 version.
I'm also Canadian, and they wanted an extra $40 if you wanted to buy the phone unlocked.

Great. Thank you for this report. I'm planning on getting the phone, but will probably get online. My last few phones have had dual-SIM and I'm not giving that up. I have an Asus, so no upgrade credit for that anyway.

What do I lose out on for buying online, being a TMo user? Just the credit?

yes. Esp if you have an older 1+ phone, this is a great deal to just 'trade up'.
But if the other things matter to you, then i'd get it online.

I ordered it online this morning. Direct. I should get it by Tuesday. I look forward to giving it a spin. My current phone is severely hobbled by only 3GB of RAM. (Nokia 6.1)
