    Extra away data $35?

My job is unexpectedly away from the home network for the next 3 weeks.

Since it was unexpected I had used more of my away data by this time in my billing period then I might otherwise have, and now I am looking at two weeks of throttled usage as I officially went over today.

I’m all for paying my way and would prefer to have regular speed versus throttled, however I went looking at the data pass options and am I correct that an extra gig of away data is now $35?!?

This seems to be absolutely no incentive whatsoever for people to want to actually pay for an additional faster away bucket vs just gobbling up as much as they can slowly via the throttle?

FWIW I’m on the $50 everywhere plan.

Anyone had any success getting a better rate for more?

On My account, the Away Canada 1GB is still $30. Where are you seeing $35?

    Yes, sorry, $30, not $35.

And lock in for 2 years when he only needs the data a single month?
Plus an old obsolete tablet that is barely adequate to throw to the kids?
Oh and don't forget the hoops you may need to jump through since many stores hate selling that plan if you are not a current Fido client
