Great to hear! Thinking of picking up a flip phone and putting it on the free plan.

Can you buy a plan for just 1 month? I see they have a $30 global plan for 5 Gb data/ month. That would be good for when I have overseas people visiting. That’s 3 Gb more than T-mobile’s tourist SIM card ($30 for 3 weeks of 2Gb data).

Has anyone rolled over to the new month and gotten confirmation that the old plan with 100MB data will be grandfathered in?

Don't know if it is grandfathered forever but mine just renewed for one more month with the old 100mb plan.

My $4.99 SIM arrived today -- activated just fine and has 1000 text/talk units.

Works fine is an unlocked Alcatel flip phone and an unlocked iPhone 5S (with no data on either since I opted for the free plan). Real cellular voice and texting -- not VOIP and phone number registered fine with iMessage.

Did you happen to have the choice of getting on the old free plan that includes 100 MB of data?

What plan was being offered when you ordered the SIM?

Only the 1,000 units. I ordered a day or two after that change occurred.

At the time I ordered/they sent me the SIM card, they still had the 500/500/100 offer. But, by the time I received the SIM card, there was just the 1000 min/txt offer.

100 mb is nothing. It goes really fast. Best to pay $10 for 200mb and get 1000 talk and text on real cell talk and data on ATT.

If I'm going to pay $10, I'd rather pay it to Unreal Mobile and get unlimited real talk, text, and data w/1GB high speed.

I hear you can pay $20 for 3 months on that plan. Comes out to $6.66/mo and your data never runs out.

Unreal Mobile has really good rates-- but keep in mind that only the Sprint network plan offers 'real' cellular talk/text. The AT&T SIM is VoIP talk/text.
