iPhone 6s won't start - either black screen or white with apple logo

This is a StraightTalk phone that I have activated on Tracfone service.

Fully Charged. I Have a 6S via Tracphone - pay as I go. I have plenty of service on the phone. This morning it was working fine when I connected it to wifi. I went to use it later and the screen was black. Now it will light up (white) with the apple logo on the screen in back but I cannot get it to do anything else. :/ I have no use of it at all.

I've tried a force restart by holding the power and home screen at the same time and all it does is turn the lit up screen off/on. I've also tried to connect the phone to the computer while on itunes and nothing.

    Any ideas?

Do you know how long you've had
The phone ?? And does the phone have
A warranty ? Try returning the phone
And see if you can get a exchange or
    Refund.

Might try Apple support via chat, or a phone call - will need the serial # of the phone. Maybe it’s still under warranty ?

You’ve already performed the two things I would have tried. Plugging it into the charger sometimes helps, even though it is fully charged.

Your airtime balance is not stored on the phone - it’s on Tracfone’s system with the carrier, so no worries with that.
Let us know how this gets resolved.

This sounds like the same issue I have ran into before except with the 7. I took it to Apple and they plugged it into iTunes, forced the phone to restart after iTunes recognized it, erased all of the data from the phone (that was my only option), and reinstalled iOS. It was basically an issue with iOS. You can do this from home as well but I had to go to the Apple store because my iTunes was acting funky. I would honestly just try to take it to the Apple store since they'll have the most knowledge and be able to troubleshoot the issue better. I hope this helps!

According to several iPhone reviews you are not alone with your issue. I suppose that Tracfone is responsible for repair in this case. Is it a new phone? Probably they sold you a defective model. Anyway I recommend you to contact the seller.

I had the same issue with my 6S a few months ago. None of the online advice worked so I took it to a Apple store. In 30 minutes they handed it back to me fully working and it just needed a restore. And they replaced the battery. No charge for any of this.
