Can send MMS but can't receive??

Just changed a friends phone from an At&t Prepaid Hauwei Ascend to an Unlocked Huawei Mate SE. Can send but can't receive MMS. Any ideas???? Everything else is working perfect.

Is Wifi on? Sometimes on NON ATT phones, having WIFI ON will interfere with sending/receiving MMS messages

We have this Huawei phone, MMS works perfectly whether on WiFi or not... Pretty sure we had to set the APN info manually though. That said, if you can send, you should be able to receive.

Thanks for the replies! After some digging it does look like the APN settings need to be set manually on factory unlocked Android phones. I just need to figure out which APN setting need to be changed or entered. Kinda hard to do over the phone with a non tech savvy 70 year old!!!

Ace, any chance you could send me a screen shot of your APN settings on the Mate SE? I know it's a hassle so if ya can't it's no biggie.

    Thanks
