    Tracfone Data Overpriced

Does anyone believe or have inside knowledge that TF will be reducing their data price for 1GB down from $10.00. I can get 3gb's for $15.00 a month with Mint which I currently have a test line with them, all good so far.

I've been emailing their corporate office to tell them to lower data down to $5 a GB. And that they should lower texting to be near unlimited texting for for 15$ for 15000 texts or 5$ for 5000 texts. It's 75$ for 15000 now.

$10 is reasonable for my lines since we don't go through the whole allowance in 1 month. That $10 is carried over sometimes for 4 months on one of my lines.

Maybe they're meeting you halfway. In post #58 of THIS THREAD , they're offering 1GB add-on for $8.

That screenshot was posted by another member. The add-on offers seem to vary from customer to customer.

Reduce data to $5.00 for 1gb or run the risk of lost customers. That's the bottom line here. MintMobile is already poaching TF customers at a high rate.

For those who want pay-as-you-go, non-expiring data, instead of a monthly plan, Tracfone is the way to go.

This month, get 500MB extra with the $10/1GB add-on using promo code 14223. That's $6.67/GB.

Not everyone needs cheap Data. My wife and I mostly use our cell phones for calls, very little text or data usage. Our monthly cost (based on the $99 1-yr 1200/1200/1200 plan) is around $9 including tax; but actually a lot less when buying the bundle phones. Mint Mobile's regular monthly price is $25, or $15 when on sale. No, thanks.

Some people like to pay $15 for a buffet with all you can eat and free soda refills. Some people are perfectly happy with a $5 meal which includes a burger, small fries, and small drink. You can switch from one restaurant to another, but when the same conglomerate owns both places, the owner is happy either way.

It sucks that they are owned by the same people cuz it doesn't teach them a lesson. I didn't have any income and I was stuck with Tracfone now I can afford S.T. smand it helps they upped the 4g data to 25 gbs. Since they're doing that they should be doing something to TF.

The Mint plan I'm considering is $180 per yr unlimited talk text 3gb. That's $15 per month.

If you don't like their pricing, get your service from someone else... The free market will take care of your concerns...

If T-Mobile works for you great. For many it won't work.

But TF has NEVER been interested in event moderate users. They have other subsidiaries for that.

It would be as nice move to get closer to the rate TW offers. If they can do 5GB for $10 on Verizon, AT&T & TMO should be doable. Even $5/GB should give a healthy profit. Or TW's old 3GB for $10

If it happens, it'll have little to no advance. Never happens with TF. Changes just appear.
