    Firstnet Wi-Fi calling just activated

I'm using an iPhone X on Firstnet with a black SIM card and was just able to activate Wi-Fi calling and it went through. I'm running 12.2 beta 2. Anyone else see this?

    Great news!
Interestingly, after the Android 9 update, the Wi-Fi Calling option on my Note 9 went from greyed-out to nonexistent.
But at least I got the fake 5G icon

Yeah well I am at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD. and you would think any available FirstNet feature would be available here at the hive before it was available anywhere and yet no WiFi calling for me. This is with a Samsung S9 on pie, running on the verandi1 WiFi network.

I too get the 5Ge icon in areas where such service is available.

Why are you on that beta? The current Firmware is at 12.1.3. Never mind. I obviously can’t read. Or I just have dyslexia. Lol

I loaded IOS 12.2. I can also confirm WiFi calling works.

    Firstnet Wi-Fi calling just activated

You have to download the iOS 12.2 beta to get it.
    Edited to change iOS version.

It's the downside to being an Android user... the iOS gang gets WiFi calling; we get a fake 5G icon.

Being at NETC won't affect that, but I'm sure O'Leary's will be glad to help you cope

Yeah, I’m on a Sonim XP8. The lack of wi-fi calling makes me want to get an Apple iPhone. The only reason I’m using the Sonim in the first place is the incredible battery life. My personal phone is an IPhone, and it does everything better besides battery life.

I had the same experience, except that I opted for a Note 9, which meant I had to give up ePTT (which Verizon has certified for their identical app/feature, so I'm hoping AT&T won't be far behind.

Has anyone else "lost" WiFi calling? It has disappeared for me. I'm on the latest beta 12.2 (16E5201e) I've tried "reset network settings" and "reset all settings" can't seem to get it come come back.

Edit: a couple folks at reddit reporting they lost it as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/ATT/comment..._ios_122_beta/
