I installed it this morning, nothing changed as far as I can tell except I had 16 apps that had updates!

I'm wondering if it fixes the cellular data issues some people had with 12.1.2 and 12.1.3.

I've stayed on 12.1.1 due to that risk, but 12.1.4 fixes a couple zero day vulnerabilities.

Curious if anyone else can chip in with the data issues

I have 3 iPhones (an ancient 5S and two 8s)
After the update, ONLY the 5S connects to WiFi now (both of the 8s give a generic "incorrect password" error while trying to connect to my home WiFi)

I had NO serious issues before the update (just the odd random "network error" which could have been from anything, even an ISP error)
Now I have no WiFi at all
    Koodo $40 Canada Wide + 8GB + 1000 Intl LD
    Public $120 Province Wide + 12GB - $6 Autopay - $12 Loyalty - $45 Refer = $19 per Month
    Freedom $35 ($37-BTS) North America Wide + 8GB + 1GB Roaming

UPDATE - ok super weird here
An Apple guru gave me the solution to SHARE wifi passwords
But even this does not work (the second phone received the share password then complains password is wrong - despite the fact the other phone is already on network and trying to share password)

What about forgetting that network, then reconnect?
Or reset network settings in reset phone section?

can you connect to fresh network somewhere you never connected before?

I was just about to install 12.1.4, but was going to do a clean install instead of update.

    Just updated mine, iPhone 6
I backed up to cloud and iTunes.

Downloaded IPSW file and did a clean install by using that file, I think just choosing restore in iTunes does the same thing,
But there is a storm now, so I did not want to take a chance on loss of wiFi or any interruption.

It loaded fine, the entire process took about :50 minutes, including back up reloading from iTunes.
Everything seems to be working, connected to my wiFi and cellular no problem.

My larger type needed resetting, and all my messages were last to fully load, but all apps are where they are supposed to be.
The tiles look smaller, but I think there was a setting I need to find and change, gotta google that.

Battery health went from %80 to %82, no idea what that is about, but it only recently went to %80 so might be a glitch was
    causing the %80.
I'll run for a few days and see if battery life acts normal after a few days run in.
Then I'll decide on new battery install from other thread.
My batter life tanked after installing a Green Mountain Grills app, it was night and day, even after uninstalling it did not go back to "normal"
So hopefully this clean install wiped out any artifacts from that, and did not reinstall anything from backup, no way to know.

Oh, I also updated all apps before install, after 6 of them and a reboot, 5 more showed, then a few more on next reboot.
Probably some sequence thing, I dunno' But after iOs update no apps seem to need updating, maybe they will show after some run in.
I did a reboot and none showed.

You can't "forget" a new network
Since it never connected in first place

But yes I found the more detailed reset network settings which did not solve anything

I had read about tons of 12.X issues on web but 12.4 seems the worst to me personally
The earlier revisions simply had some random disconnects
