    Verizon Hotspot plan

i'm looking for the cheapest price on 1GB of prepaid Verizon based data to use in a dedicated hotspot preferably with unlimited data at 128kbps afterwards because $30 for 500mb of high speed is too expensive direct from Verizon.. i'm getting a dedicated line for the car and anticipate to use at least 1-3GB per month but it's only for running maps and google play music and spotify on my android headunit because the prepaid unlimited cell phone plan from verizon doesn't include hotspot so i'm forced to get a dedicated hotspot device to leave in the car

Straight Talk has better hotspot plans. Well, cheaper I mean.

    I too say Straight Talk.
I'm using their ZTE Z291DL hotspot. Has Verizon bands 2/4/13. I use the $40 4GB 60day plan. I'm in a fringe coverage area but still average 10mbps.

also if I can just take a cell phone based plan maybe 1-2GB and use that instead of data only sims that would be alot better and be alot cheaper on the low end... Verizon has 1GB hotspot for $15 but you must qualify for post paid first and I don't qualify

My iPhone 7 and Red Pocket (360 day plan $60) gives me a hot spot with 500 MB /30 days.... Not enough data in that 30 days, No Problem you can add more data (still expires in the original 30 days) 250 MB = $5 or 1 GB = $10

few questions if I port in a number with total wireless they say I can get 7.5GB for $33.20 after autopay which so far is the best deal I've found on Verizon but will that 7.5 GB continue every month or will it only be the first month? and another question can I port in a number from text now free plan or Google Voice or does it need to be from a carrier? if I can do that, that's what I may go with even though I don't need that much data in the car... I've also been looking around and is there any other cheap plans that include unlimited data at 128kbps? I know pix wireless has unlimited at 128kbps after 500MB for $15 but is there anymore I'm missing? it really is only for low quality music streaming and maps so it doesn't need to be high speed just needs to support 3G and 4G/LTE Verizon

I got the bonus data offer, and it's permanent. Just have to port a number from anywhere but another TracFone subsidiary.

also I forgot to ask on total wireless if the amount of data is totally used up does it revert to unlimited at 128kbps? that would be nice if it does

My experience with Total Wireless data is that once you "hit the wall" you have NO data whatsoever.

TW offers an excellent value in data AND non expiring data add-ons at $10/5GB, but there is no throttled data after the LTE allotment is used up.

Ok that sucks... Even though total wireless sounds like the best deal to get 5GB on Verizon towers, not having 128kbps in the car isn't something I'd want to experience especially if i need maps and don't have the specific area downloaded for offline usage...
