    Budget phone recommendation

I have free "third line" as part of my 2 lines for $100 deal with T-mobile. I gave that line and phone(HTC M8) to my mom(who is retired) a few years ago. However, the HTC M8 battery is dying and I need a relatively good "budget" phone as a replacement.

Any recommendations? I bought a brand new Moto G phone about 2 years ago and it stopped working after a year. I had also had problem with other Motorola phones in the fast. There is a company called BLU that seems to sell "cheap" phones. I see alot of mixed reviews of them on Amazon

My budget is $200 or less and I need a phone that has
    1. Good battery life
    2. Fully compatible with most or all of T-mobile bands
    3. At least 64 gigs of ram

I know there is alot out there. Just wanted to narrow it down.

    Thanks

MOTO E PLUS is a solid phone. Good battery life. Cost is about $225.

I don't know who has 64GB of ROM in a cheap phone but you should be able to get 32 easily
Does Mom really have that many apps on her phone?

I'd stay away from Blu at all cost and look at the Moto X4 @ 149.00 or Z2 for 199.00
You can check directly at the Motorola site.

Have you considered upgrading your personal phone and passing it down to her? I'm assuming you have something decent and you both get an upgrade this way with your good will.

I have a Razer phone less than 2 years old and so it's way too early to change phones for myself.

I was wondering about the 64 GB of RAM. That's a big limiting factor.
At this point in time there are many phones out there that support band 12 but not so many supporting band 71.
Using GSMarena.com's Phone Finder, I see only 27 phones listed with band 71. Only five of them are less than 200 Euro (or in that ball park). When I run the same search with bands 2, 4 & 12, I get 119 phones to pick from.

I am not inclined to go Motorola. I have purchased 2 Motorola phones over the past few years and they both gave me lots of problems resulting in me having to buy replacement phone's of a different brand since I was out of warranty.

And I have had nothing but good luck with Motorola but as always, YMMV.

Maybe you need to bump it up to the 200-300 bracket. 200 seems a bit too cheap.

I looked on Amazon they have quite a few "Chinese" phones such as ones from ZTE and Huawei Alot of budget phones with good reviews. I bought a ZTE Axon 7
a few years ago. Phone was good. It however had a few issues I could not live I so I returned it.

She doesn't need 64 gig. 32 gig would be fine. She doesn't take pics or download appa

Just read an article on an Android blog that rated the Motorola G7 the best Budget phone out there right now. I believe there selling for $199 at various outlets.

The X4 and the G moto phones are good - but if you're not a fan that limits your budget.

You can always hit up fleabay or Amazon warehouse for some cheaper LG phones, but some are great and others I find trash.

I would avoid Blu, like the plague. Cheaper companies would be ZTE and Huwauauwui or whatever it's called, but again I'd refrain from those.

Another solid option are the Nokia 3 and 6 or whatever variants. They don't seem too horrible, haven't used one myself or know anyone though.

Moto X4 is on sale right now on www.motorola.com . It's a closeout sale, so get 'em while they're hot. I am happy with my X4, but if I were buying it today, I'd get the 64 GB model, $199.99 .

I do have a 128 GB microSD card, but apps can't be used on the card. Battery life is great. Camera works fine for me. The device has full features for the Fi network, which I use.

I see it for $199(64 gig model) at Best Buy. Its for new activation only and thus would not count in my mom's case. The regular unlocked price for the 64 gig model is $299.The 32 gig model is $249. Amazon has the Moto G6 for $179 64 gig for the "Prime Exclusive"model which I believe includes advertising or I can get the regular 32 gig unlocked model for also $179

I think Motorola is your best best. My partner and I both use Motorola phones. They're not perfect by any means, but they're cheap. You get what you pay for.

You could also try buying a used phone. Swappa is a good website for that.
