Is it worth purchasing a device with android Lollipop (5.0) in 2019?

Do you reckon they will ever discontinue the use of apps for this version of android? As I’m thinking of purchasing a new phone, however it only has a Lollipop OS. Is the worth while in 2019?

    I don’t know. It’s the SHARP SHM02-EVA20.

Generally it is better to get the current OS.

If you are buying a used flagship at a cheap price it might be worth it if that is a phone you want.

No, it’s not used. It’s a limited edition phone that was released a few years ago. Oh well, I kinda thought that might be the answer. Thanks anyway

Lollipop has a lot of security issues that were fixed in later versions of android. I am not sure I would want to invest in something that out of date with known security issues.

it also depends on your cell phone usage.
    1) if limited use of cell phone applications and new features then it's fine.
    2) but you want to use the latest application and features then this phone is a waste of money, because after few months some Apps will not support Lollipop 5.0.
