How To Get A Verizon Cell Phone Booster

I h ave a friend who is on regular contract Verizon. His Apartment complex is essentially a Faraday cage, so signals are very tough to receive. What does he have to do to get a Verizon cell phone booster? If he calls or email, do they sell it to him, provide it for free or some other sort of arrangement?

Tier 2 gave me one for 1/2 off I believe but not for free. Since then Verizon has made a lot of upgrades in my area and it’s no longer needed.

Dang. I haven’t had luck with them like that. Haven’t even received a half off offer.

Why not just use WiFi calling?

That is a fair enough question. I didn't ask him about that, though. I did set that up for him, too.

In my situation WiFi calling wasn’t ideal because of the big battery drain I got. When I needed mine I was literally right on the edge of WiFi calling vs cellular calling. My phone would literally constantly switch from WiFi calling to cell calling all day.

Put the phone in airplane mode and then turn on WiFi. Far less battery drain doing this. The only downside of this method is you need to remember to turn off airplane mode when leaving the house.

How To Get A Verizon Cell Phone Booster

I did install this for my friend on Thursday. It seems to work very well. I sure wish I had VoLTE, through Total Wireless, because I might get one for myself then!

The only reasons i've found against wifi calling are it sometimes will cause calls to get lost at least it did for me and using wifi calling prevents call recording software from working due to the way wifi calling is implemented.

One of our lines needs call recording.

So right now we've got a att hotspot that does about ~1.7Mbps with the bare signal it's able to get.
Which is enough for wifi calling but not enough to meet the minimum requirements to run a network extender.
To get a connection capable of running a network extender would cost a minimum of $100 if said connection is even actually available.

Ended up buying a weboost but have yet to get it installed.
