    I have used them for years in my phones. Samsung, SanDisk highest grade, used just to store pics and movies, no apps.

    I have only one failed because it was installed in a RPi and supported numerous (constant) write operations.

    Yeah mine always fail after needing to store apps. But I’ve stopped buying phones with the slots anyways

    Only Pixel and iPhone for me at this point. I’m tired of janky updates

    I think you should go for a new phone because with the new phone you will also get new features which is not a bad deal. I suggest you don't use the SD card because it may be damaged at any time.

    Paying extra 128GB is worth it, IMO. I would not settle for anything less than 128GB in a modern smartphone.

    My current Huawei P30 Pro is a 256GB version, and I am extremely happy, niwver worried about app/game installation size or video sizes really. Will probably get it a 256GB NM card soon to.
