    Windows 10(ltsc) can't see my Galaxy S3

So, I bought an S8, to replace my S5, which I passing down to my wife, to replace her S3. You see where I'm going here, right...??

And so the idea is to use switch to transfer everything from one phone to the other. This I have already accomplished with my S5 to S8.

S8 and S5 show up in windows no problemo, but not the S3.

Any thoughts one why this is, and how to fix it...??

    Thanks.

    My experience has been:

The first time you plug a phone into a computer by USB the default is to charge only, no data.

There should be a USB symbol in the top notification area. Swipe down and there should be a message to touch to change to data.

If that don't work, I can get my S3 out of the car and noodle around with Win 10. I doubt it has anything to do with Win 10.

I got mine out of the car and connected it to Win 10. Mine is a Sprint S3. I get the USB notification. It came up with Media Device MTP selected and I can see the files on the phone.

It took a couple of minutes until Windows notified that it was setting up a Samsung Android device, but I could see the device and files before that.

Make sure you are using a USB data cable. Some are charge only. Maybe try a different cable and/or computer.

    Maybe Bluetooth would work.

If all else fails, you could transfer stuff to Google Drive then back to the new phone.

    Good luck
