Boom! Mobile has ceased offering their service on Yellow, AKA Sprint. All Boom! Yellow customers will be transitioned to Ting CDMA and will receive a special offer ($20 unlimited talk/text/data) via email to either continue their service or port away to another carrier. This offer is ONLY available to Boom! Yellow customers.
"$20 unlimited talk/text/data" seems like a good deal.

We wanted to make sure our customers were treated well. We are in the process of launching a consumer AT&T product. So we will offer VZW and AT&T. The details will be released within 30 days.

boom! Mobile has made the strategic decision to no longer offer service on the Sprint network (boom! Yellow).

    Oh, okay. Thanks.

I bet that doesn't include their lame $6 line fee or taxes and fees. Probably at least $30 after that.

We'll look forward to that. Hopefully the new consumer AT&T plans are competitive.

I'm not sure. I would guess that boom!/Ting special plan won't be subject to the $6/mo line fee, but that's just a guess.

Best MVNO is reporting that the $6 line access fee is included in the $20 per month and that subscribers get 50GB of high speed data. Heck of a deal if true.
Trying to come up with some sort of signature line...

I'm highly skeptical of that allotment of data, but that is what customer support via online chat told me. I'd like to get that confirmed by a second source.

Agree, due to single CSR as the source - hence the "if true" clause...

That is one sweet offer for retention. Nice. I’m guessing they don’t have a lot of these lines in circulation and cost benefit of cancelling the contract was worth selling the accounts.

knowing ting and how they like to nickle and dime their customers (like that hotspot only plan which requires an extra line or an existing line) I'll not hold my breath :P

Makes sense honestly so I'm not surprised.

I'm surprised they got the pull to get/hold on to these deals.

Like to see what their new AT&T offerings are.
As a USA citizen I have the right to criticize my government. My thanks for this is endless in magnitude.

According to a thread on Nth Circle, what appears to be a Ting rep
Ouch. I went through all the hassle to get verified on Nth as a Ting rep and still get called out for maybe not being legit.

In any case, yes. Boom! Yellow customers who were switched to Ting CDMA will be able to have $20 talk/text/data with no throttle, cap or meter that I can see. I know me "confirming" this is just me confirming myself, but I'm reading back over the logs of internal discussions we've had about Boom! Yellow customers to confirm.

Typically these types of plans *do*come with an internal 50GB limit, though I don't see anything specifically about that with regards to Boom! Yellow customers.

I don't think I count as a second source for confirmation on this, so if any Boom! Yellow customers want to reach out to me directly either via DM here, on Reddit at /u/LiterallyUnlimited or at [email protected], I'm happy to confirm.

At present, this offer ($20 t/t/d) is ONLY available for former Boom! Yellow customers. There's no way to get an account now and bring it over.
