Old $60 plan versus new $60 plan ... TETHERING

Easy question. I have Metro with the old $60 plan. I never switched to the new plan because its the same price and still unlimited data, rarely use the hot spot, and don't need the extra services bundled with the new plan.

Now I am starting to use the hotspot more and I only have 10 GB for the hotspot. The new plan has 15 GB. I tether with my phone via PDA Net but some things I use require that I use the hotspot as something is blocked when I use PDA Net. Not sure what. Maybe a port.

Anyway, I want to know if anything would change in regards to my data usage like different throttling guidelines that were stricter if I moved to the newer plan. Today is the last day of my billing cycle and I have used 270 GB of data and 9 GB of my hotspot. So you can see why this is a concern for me. I just want to know if I should be worried about my faster data being capped on the different plan. I was looking to change to get the 15 GB hot spot data. Thanks

This forum's pretty dead in case you haven’t noticed.

    Try this: https://old.reddit.com/r/MetroPCS/
