    Tracfone to Simple Mobile

I have a pair of identical LG Rebel 4's. One is a Tracfone I just got, and the other is on Simple mobile. The Tracfone came with 1500 minutes/texts/data. I've been pondering attempting to transfer to my older phone simply because for some reason TF is horrible on this new phone. I'm kind of leary to try to get TF to do that transfer because of past experiences, reading other experiences, etc. If I'm ever successful, or wind up burning up my included goodies, is it possible to use the TF phone on SM's network? I realize a SIM change and APN seetings might be on the ticket, but I would appreciate info on whether I should even bother?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tyg

Switching between subsidiaries of the Tracfone company is now allowed. However, you have to make sure your phone is compatible. Simple Mobile uses T-mobile (GSM). MOST Rebel 4s on Tracfone use Verizon (CDMA). I don't remember if the Tracfone Rebel 4 have both GSM and CDMA radios. Can you post the model number of your Rebel 4 on TF?

I don't think your Tracfone Rebel 4 will work on T-mobile.

Tracfone Rebel 4 is model L212VL. The VL indicates Verizon LTE. It has CDMA radio.

Simple Mobile Rebel 4 is model L211BL. The BL indicates T-mobile or AT&T LTE. It has GSM radio.

Depends on how they programmed it and what chipset it uses.

Verizon LTE basically includes GSM support (CDMA is the extra/odd part).
But what LTE bands the chip supports and how they programmed it determines what it can actually do.
