Tracfone Triple Minute Sim ? Transferring Feature Phone to BYOP?

I have a friend that has a old LG840 G (feature phone) and wants to upgrade to a Google Pixel 3A.

IK she needs to buy a nano sim for the phone if I am right.

I was wondering if the triple minutes nano sim cards like this will give her TMFL.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/TRACFONE-Br...MAAOSwPjNcjP--

I am also planning on her doing an online chat so that she can transfer her minutes over.

Also will her 3000 minutes give her 3000 in all of the 3 buckets?

Any advice will be really appreciated.

That kit comes with SIMs in all 3 sizes (mini, micro, nano) and for 3 carriers (AT&T, T-mobile, Verizon). One of them will work for her phone.

The SIMs in that kit will give TMFL. Be aware that the T-mobile SIMs in that kit might have expired by now (only T-mo SIMs have expiry dates on them).

It used to be that the number of units in a feature phone gets put into each bucket, 3000 minutes give 3000/3000/3GB. But lately some people reported that TF now only puts that into the talk bucket, 3000 minutes give 3000/0 text/0MB.

    K. TY. So in other words the old 3000 in each bucket like it used to be is gone?

Also, she doesn't want T-mobile. She wants GSM, I think that is AT &T?

Is there a way to tell before buying if she is getting a AT & T nano sim?

The kit you linked will have all 3 carriers. Use the blue one for AT&T.

I don't think TM is worth $10 though if that really what they have). I'd just get the multi-carrier kit locally for $1.

If you do get the TM SIMs you should get the balance transferred to all 3 buckets as specified on the packaging.

I'm not sure about the current, non-TM, packaging.

Not many transferring from single bucket phones anymore. But I'd raise a stink if I didn't get all 3 buckets like everyone in the past.

If the picture in the Ebay listing is of the actual kit being sold:
    - It says "Works with America's Top Three 4G LTE Networks". That means it has SIMs for AT&T, T-mo, and Verizon.
    - It says "Includes Standard (Mini) and Micro SIMs for GSM and CDMA...and Nano SIMs for GSM and CDMA". That means it has a Nano SIM for AT&T, and T-mo, and Verizon.

According to ONE poster, TF only put the balance from the feature phone into the talk bucket now. I have no first-hand experience with that.

Both AT&T and T-mo use GSM technology. Verizon uses CDMA technology.

I don't think that is stated anywhere on the packaging.

Not directly, but it's implied in the discussion of how the (no basic) cards work. I'd sure argue with them about it since there's several years if history with it working that way.

I went from a Nokia 2126i to an iPhone SE.
The Nokia only had 70 units on it, but the 70 landed in all three buckets.
Had to do it through online chat because the system can't verify the minutes on an old Nokia over the air.

Tracfone has better deals on airtime, that beat TMFL. Such as

The newer kits are not going to be TMFL if that's important.

You can still use this on a TMFL for life smartphone/SIM though. So why not go for both?

TY everyone & special thanks to Tracfancier about the $49 card! I messaged Tracfone asking if this was going to expire anytime soon and no response of yet. My friend wants to buy the deal and wait until Black Friday. TY again everyone!

It is like any other airtime card, good for at least one year from purchase. The airtime may go to its regular price of $60 or remain the same. The offer might also disappear.
Here is the thread on the offer: https://www.howardforums.com/showthr...-from-Tracfone

The offer has two listings. It is important you order it the correct way to get an airtime card, or you will receive a SIM with the airtime already loaded on it. Best to ask here to verify your understanding. Here is the Tracfone e-Bay store:
    https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_nkw...reless&_sop=15

Are you aware that Tracfone now sells talk, text, data and days all individually? Days as an add on for Tracfone branded phones (not BYOP).

My point was I don't think TMFL is worth the extra money. $10 + shipping for TM vs $1 locally.
