I'm a Videotron customer. I noticed early last week that I'm able to roam on Freedom Mobile's network here in Ottawa. I can, however, only establish a data connection on 4G, not 3G. This is unfortunate because once I make a phone call, the connection drops to 3G but will not reconnect to 4G. Perhaps they're in the testing phase?

Can anyone on Freedom here in Ottawa check to see if they can register on Videotron's network?

I'm in Ottawa with Videotron. It seems like we can now roam on Freedom, but only in 3G (calls and data).

Freedom has been identified as a partner for quite some time, but if your phone ever locked on it, it would be bricked.

I wonder what deal is brewing...

I can roam on Freedom Mobile, 3G and LTE, without any problems.
