    Doro Flip Phone

    https://shop.tracfone.com/shop/en/tr...f-doro-d7050tl

One of the new TF Flip Phones using the 3 bucket system and supports video messaging plus has a cradle for charging.

Thoughts on this one? Looks senior friendly.

That has a TL model number. Maybe just for T-Mobile ? I've seen VL and DL suffixes but never a TL.

If you're going to buy it, don't buy from TF web site. HSN has it for $59.99 bundled with 1200/1200/1200 1-yr . It's a GSM phone, so it'll use AT&T or T-mobile, most likely T-mobile.

TL has not been used for a while, and it used to specify T-Mobile service. HSN states this one is TMFL. Other new generation basic phones have been also.

Does Consumer Cellular use T-Mobile? That could be the problem with the newer Doro. Bad reception and battery drainage where T-Mobile sucks.

Consumer Cellular uses both AT&T and T-Mobile. Not sure how that is chosen on activation. Short battery life is a common complaint. Yes, bad signal uses a lot of battery. Otherwise, it should not have much drain because there is little data capability. Other complaints are klutzy texting, voicemail problems, and the buttons failing.
