    5G Hotspot Launched

$649.99, $30/month on “unlimited plans” (probably just Beyond or Above Unlimited, but hopefully also FUDP), 15 GB LTE slowed to 600 Kbps afterward, 50 GB 5G slowed to 3 Mbps afterward, built-in Ethernet & USB-C ports.

Beats me why the 5G allowance isn’t unlimited or at least like 100 GB. It’s not like it’s even possible for the 5G network to get congested anytime soon, if ever, since the airlink is functionally limitless for conventional data usage activities.

I agree the data allotment is pathetically small... that turns me off and makes me disinterested honestly...

Probably just for starters so they see how it works on the network. All these areas will get home internet offered soon enough anyway. beats at&t's 15 GB. Also all these areas that have 5G certainly have wired home internet services form other companies available.

Then use the hotspot feature on your 5G phone but that doesn't have a 50 GB cap

I don’t even have a 5G capable phone. I live in an area where they don’t even have 5G so yeah. Now if Verizon changed the hotspot plan then maybe I’ll be interested.

Then none of this is an issue for you then. I'm saying if someone in a 5G area wants to use a hotspot but doesn't like the 50 GB cap then get a 5G phone instead and use that hotspot. Since phone hotspot do not have any such restriction. Also it says streaming is 4K. it doesn't say that streaming slows down after 50 GB. it might but it's not specifically stated that way,

I wonder if that can be purchased out right.

But 50 GB is kind of lame. If one was going to use Verizon 5G for home internet you'd better waiting until they actually offer home internet
