Excellent news! Total Wireless has only gotten better and better since my sister and I switched to them almost 3 years ago. And the family plans are no longer hard capped, according to the Prepaid Phone News article: https://www.prepaidphonenews.com/201...ily-plans.html

I've been consistently getting sub-40ms pings on speed tests on my Galaxy S7.

“May receive” makes this confusing. That makes me think of unlimited with possible deprioritization.

WOW! So now my boys will have 30GB to share, doubled from the prior 15GB! And the other increases are even CRAZIER. Doubled. Tripled. Quadrupled. AMAZING!

Looks like they made it retroactive.

More like throttled data speed. Like ST and NT (among others).

    Figure 2G speed, maybe 128kbps.

The "may" means they could not throttle you, or throttle at different speeds. I would expect to be throttled though.

I doubt I'll ever have the chance to test it.
I don't specifically limit data and haven't hit the old limit. I have a 3GB addon, from way back, before the last increase, bought before a trip with limited wifi, that has never been used. Not a single MB.

Could do 4 and 1. So $150 for 5 lines with 25GB each + unlimited throttled data.

    Still a killer deal.

I'd rather see per line controls. So I could allocate/throttle data vs the single shared pool.

Yeah, in addition to the significant increase in LTE data, the data now being soft capped after the LTE allowance is used up on the shared plans is huge!

That is another great point, too.

Data was "hard capped" in the past, correct?

Yes, it was. Possibly right up until the time of the increase in shared plan LTE data allowances, but since I wasn't really paying that much attention, that's just a guess.

There's also a $25 Amazon gift card for each line you activate if you buy the SIM from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Total-Wireles...dp/B072FTW1MB/

I just got the notification too!
I am on the 4 lines plan and was stressing how much data my daughter uses with her Instagram crap... Now, with 100GB I am a little more at ease

Just got the email. I was going to post this, but someone beat me to it. This is great, and is essentially unlimited high speed data for 99% of people.
