I just got an E5 play a couple weeks ago,,,,,

but you may have to find a TMO shop that knows about this deal , will give you an ePin to use later if you want it that way ,
and not charge you for the TMO sim card , since there is one in the box !

But I am very happy with the deal and the Moto E5 play

I have been on TMO prepaid for 15 years !
Wanted: old barnfind VWs and Sports cars ,
save them from the crusher , I have had my tetanus shots so rust does not scare me ,
    anything considered even parts cars

I got my LG Aristo 2 in November and unlocked it with only a minor issue at a store near my parents' home.

I'm only eyeing the promo to consider getting a second while it's still available. Plus I cracked the screen a couple months back.

you can only unlock 2 phones every 12 months ,

But this time the TMO store ( actually a mobile truck) did not connect the esim to my phone number ,
I guess it was connected once I put the $100 esim credit on that account so I could unlock the phone ,

I seems to take me 6-7 months to use the $100 up on my old "Gold" plan , as I have another phone for Data with a Mint sim.
So around Christmas I will do the esim again ,

Hopefully it will still be working and maybe the Moto based Revellry phones will be included once they run out of the Revell phones.

they upgraded the Moto phone from an E5 play to an E6 play........
    https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/product...e-6th-gen/Navy

the E6 play has both Tmobile and sprint LTE bands , but not sure if it has the International bands like the E5Play does

and the revell phones are the same .......

Tempted to have a look at the E6. I noticed it has an 18:9 ratio which I like from the Visible R2. And Pie, it'd be my first. Also, the Aristo 2 Plus doesn't appear on the list anymore. Should work with a Red Pocket GSMA sim since it has band 2, right? (After unlocking.)
Trying to talk myself into go into a TMobile store again.

Just make sure you go to the store with enough info for the sales people who may not know about this deal , load up the webpage on your phone ,

if you want to unlock your new phone , read the other threads and get the ePin "to use later"

there is a Sim card in the box , but they will try and sell you one anyway !

the E6 play looks good , but it seems that it does not have many of the LTE bands you need in Asia and Europe which the E5 play has,

Still a great deal if you need to refill anyway

I would go back to the same store where I got my Aristo 2 from. It went smoothly last year and I unlocked it with only a minor hiccup. Details were related above.

Hope it works out for you , I went to 3-4 Tmobile stores here when I was looking for the last E5 play and it was out of stock ,

But the mobile truck had one and knew how to write it up with the ePin that I could use later ,

I picked up the LG Aristo 4+ today. Been considering it for months but haven't been in the area except for weekends.

The fellow helping me didn't try to sell me another sim or charge me an activation fee or any other nonsense. However, he wanted to switch me from their Legacy system to Rebellion which entailed also switching plans. I told him, whoa, slow down I don't want to do that - I'm on the gf'd $30/Walmart plan. No way I'm giving that plan up. I told him I knew what I wanted to do as far as replacing the sim and adding the ePins later. I suggested he sell it to me as a new customer and let me handle the rest. He didn't care, fine with him. After that, he had trouble entering the ePins as redeem later (for some reason, they split them as 2x$40 instead of a single $80; same thing last year, 2x$50 instead of a $100). Luckily, Joe, the same fellow who helped me last year knew what to do. Done and done, out the door for $86 w/taxes and fees.

Well mine did not go as well as expected ,

I am on the old Gold plan , I agree not the best but I only use it for calling and a few texts , and I have had it for 10-15 years ,
and I have a MINT sim on another phone for Data.

anyway the Tmobile truck was at my local swap meet , but could not figure out how to do it as before because the old plans are now run by Ultra.....
So for my $100 I got a "free" Moto E6 with a month of $40 service and a $60 epin to put on my "Gold plan" phone ,
Maybe there was a better way to do it but he could not find it......

So I hope the $60 ePin gives me the same per minute and per text as the $100 one does ,

and if you know of a way to get it to work as before please let me know.....

And yes I know you only need to do $80 , I did the $100 because I wanted to try and unlock the E6 and needed $100 in that account.....
I already had 2 unlocks this year so i was probably not going to get the unlock anyway.

I thought about getting the $100 ePin but figured I save a few dollars by getting the balance on the next Target sale.
Actually, to get my last unlock, I had to add $50 and then $100. The first $50 was called an "activation payment" - it's still credited to the balance but not towards the unlock. Didn't bother me since I wasn't in any hurry to unlock the phone.
I haven't even turned on the new Aristo 4 yet. One thing I noticed in the quick startup guide, the Aristo 4 has a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side - not that I plan on using it, I usually keep it turned off. Going to wait until I get a case and screen protector from eBay.

What is a TMobile truck? Not familiar with it. First thing I did last year was ask the guy (Joe) if he was familiar with the promo. Did same this time since Joe was helping another customer and I wanted to gauge how much hassle to expect. Luckily, he was versed enough.

Tmobile has a bunch of Magenta colored Mobile sales trucks, sides fold up and show the phones ,

free recharging and wifi , plus a "store" and some free goodies

They were at the car show I attended Sunday and another truck was at the swap meet wednesday
