    Xfinity Mobile (2nd Generation) Pricing

    https://www.reddit.com/r/NoContract/...d_gen_pricing/

Not exactly competitive, but I guess Comcast needs to lose another $1B on this venture to get it right.

So basically, no more free line for those that don't use data?

edit: Sounds like existing users can stay on gen 1.

Biggest thing is the change to "...will not be temporarily slowed in times of congestion" (and then the upcharge of $20/mo extra that allows people to "upgrade" to better quality service)
welcome to the wonderful world of depriortization, just like every other VZ MVNO.

Fark Comcast/Xfinity. Why would anyone use them if they have another option. Worst company in the world.

    I hope so.

I don't see this 2nd gen plan on Xfinity mobile web site.

Article explains it better. I don't see anything about being grandfathered. It looks like no more 100mb free data, but 1gig still can be shared.

The Light Reading article is "light" on details compared with the screenshot in the Reddit post. It does not mention the anytime deprioritization of the new plans or the grandfathering, both of which are in the Reddit post.

It says that the 1st gen user still gets the free 100MB. I just transfer one line to XM at the end of July. Guess I'm lucky to be "grandfathered". Although the billing info in my account page still shows $12. I'm not going to use any data and I hope they won't send me a $12+tax bill at the end of the month.
