Only $55 and $60 are showing the sale, no $50.

This week (2/2-2/8) Target.com is advertising $5 off $50 "select" prepaid airtime. They have hidden which denominations the discount applies to, only showing the discount when you add the airtime to the cart. It looks like the eligible cards include the AT&T Prepaid $65, Boost $50, Cricket $60, Net10 $60, Total Wireless $60, TracFone $99.99 and Verizon Prepaid $50.

Target seems to have started charging an e911 fee on TracFone airtime purchased online in at least some jurisdictions. With my San Francisco Red Card billing address, the fee is a whopping $14.07 on the $99.99 card. That's close to the official 14.5% official MTS point of sales tax that San Francisco collects on brick and mortar sales of prepaid airtime.

So far Target only seems to be collecting the e911 fee on TracFone airtime. Other brands, including TracFone owned Net10 and Total Wireless, are still tax free.

    FYI -
I bought two $55 Cricket wireless cards yesterday. The were eligible for the discount. However, I had to make 2 separate purchases to get $5 off for each card. I tried buying both at the same time but it only gave me $5 off. Buying separately I got a total of $10 off.

I tried to buy six of the $50 refill cards and it only gave me $5 off, total. Not $5 off each one.

The workaround (if you're doing it online) is just to place each order separately. I did that for two of them right after each other.

I got a couple of hundred dollar cards in case there aren't any more for a while. Also got a $100 iTunes card which came with a $15 Target card.
