Free Shopping list app überliste - looking for feedback

Hey there, I'm Nick from the überliste team,

We've just released our digital shopping list on Android and would love to get some feedback from some early adopters to keep improving it.

überliste is a free iOS and Android app, with no adverts, that lets you organise grocery lists collaboratively. You can compile your list online, share it with others, and cross things off as you buy them at the supermarket with all users seeing changes in real-time.

It'll save you time, prevent waste and put an end to the daily back and forth of organizing groceries between multiple people.

    - Completely free to download and use

    - Select items from its built-in database or add your own items

    - Add to a list from purchase history, making new lists very quick to make

    - Automatically organizes lists to group supermarket categories

    - Create multiple lists and share via email, text or message

    - Two or more users can edit a list at the same time

    - See changes to lists from all users in real time

    - Users data and privacy are protected and not for sale

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated,
    Nick

Do changes really show up IMMEDIATELY in other users’ phones?

Up until a month ago, we (me and hubby) were using Out of Milk (a grocery shopping app like yours, available for both iOS and Android). I had to pull down to sync. Make changes then pull down again. The other person would have to pull down too before changes are synced. Oftentimes, even pulling down several times didn’t ensure syncing.

It was annoying so I just created shared iCloud Notes (we’re both using iPhones) for each store we regularly shop at. Changes are synced immediately. We get immediate notifications when someone edited a note. Changes made by each user are highlighted (different color for each user).

Ooopps. Sorry. Didn’t notice that it’s under the Android apps forum.

    Hey Maru,

Seemless syncing is something we have been striving for with überliste.

The app is designed to refresh on open as well as intermittently, we also use the 'pull down to sync / refresh' design pattern to ensure lists are synced with our servers. Its hard to do anything about supermarkets with poor network coverage but our field tests have all worked really well.

We would love for you and your partner to give it a try.

    Nick
