CTTO from T-Mobile reddit. I just got one free tablet plan when I added new tablet plan.

    To clarify any confusion here the promo is as follows;
Buy any mobile internet line get a second mobile internet line for free for as long as you are with T-Mobile (digits, tablet, watch, etc)
You can mix and match lines
No you cannot cancel a line to take advantage of this promo
    No specific plan required
If you have cancelled a mobile internet line within the last 90 days of this promo beginning which was august 30th you are not eligible for this
If you happen to take advantage of this promo, you cannot cancel any type of line on your account for exactly 365 days or 1 year. This will disqualify you for the promo and it will not be reinstated unless you resume the cancelled line.
You are not required to buy a device for this promo
Limits are determined by how many mobile internet lines you are eligible for
Lines can be added within 14 days of each other to qualify

What kind of data plan do these line pull from? Would this pull from the Magenta plans Hotspot Data?
Or do you buy a data package separate?

I am looking to add a bogo data line. I have the 1st simole choice plan where each additional line is $10. I called tmobile today and they said their data lines are different from their voice lines. Im not even sure if the data lines they want to put me on are compatible with my simple choice lines. Anyone add a bogo data line on simple choice during this promo? What did you have to pay for the line?

Does T-Mobile even list the prices for data lines anywhere? I believe Data with paired DIGITS is $10/line, not sure on tablet, or hotspot, or even the OBD2 dongle.

I think it depends on your underlying voice plan these days.

Folks on One/Magenta pay $20/mo. for data devices (and get unlimited data), $10/mo. for wearables.

Essentials customers pay $15 for data devices and $10 for wearables (plus taxes and fees)

Older grandfathered plans (like my Simple Choice North America) pay by tier (my 2GB/month plan is $10, and I think 6GB is $15 or $20- I forget.)

Prepaid hotspot starts at $10/month for 2 GB LTE, 2g after that.

Wonder if we will see that change once 5G begins to roll.
