iOS 13 Dual SIM Cellular Data Switching works great!

I didn’t know about this feature until the release. What is does now is allow your phone to automatically switch from your primary cellular data SIM to the secondary when it loses service on the primary line.

If you have WiFi calling enabled it will also route your phone calls and texts through the secondary data line automatically.

It’s almost like your phone can turn your second SIM into a true roamer network.

I know of several areas where AT&T has no service and Verizon does and vice versa. This will be awesome for that since now I won’t miss calls and the phone will do the work of switching data providers automatically!

Yeah, that's been a fantastic feature.. as AT&T in my "home" city (I work for an airline) is not that great... but this allows verizon to pick up the slack when needed!

Good info, was wondering about this. I can definitely see this coming in handy, especially for international use as well.

Just added a Tmo eSIM to play with along side my AT&T SIM. Was planning to add Verizon, but the eSIM IMEI in my Apple branded phone is not whitelisted. I’ll have to visit a Verizon store eventually.

One thing I did notice as soon as I added the eSIM the new iOS 13 family personal hotspot sharing options disappeared. Not sure if this is a bug in the iOS (13.1.2) or by design.

So no additional SIM slot is required for this ? So damm cool. Wish Android would take up eSim.

This is great though I would love to hook my moms phone up to another esim for when she travels to the seldom location in New Hampshire without At&t service.

Yeah I really like this feature. I’ve not noticed the WiFi calling working. Like the phone does not say WiFi calling when att has no service and my Verizon sim does but I wonder if it just does it in the background.

You have to go into Cellular settings and enable WiFi calling for each line then it should work.. mine says "AT&T using Cellular"

    That is very cool.

(Android, you need to catch up on this feature.)

What an awesome feature of iOS 13. I didn't know this. Thanks for sharing!
