iOS 13 Dual SIM Cellular Data Switching works great!

Hi,
Redpocket doesn’t have volte or vowifi. You can activate vvm by contacting their chat support(I never did that though). They have CDMA. Now I use them in iPhone 11 max pro.
I used RedPocket a lot on Maine where Att doesn’t even have roaming.
I just refilled my service for the next yrar for 54 dollars on the eBay.

They do have VoLTE, I've used it on my XS Max, and 11Pro

Get ahold of them and have it added to your account if it's not working.

Verizon is requiring them to support it now that CDMA is on a timer for shelf life.

I didn’t know about this feature until the release. What is does now is allow your phone to automatically switch from your primary cellular data SIM to the secondary when it loses service on the primary line.

If you have WiFi calling enabled it will also route your phone calls and texts through the secondary data line automatically.

It’s almost like your phone can turn your second SIM into a true roamer network.

I know of several areas where AT&T has no service and Verizon does and vice versa. This will be awesome for that since now I won’t miss calls and the phone will do the work of switching data providers automatically!

Sold all my iPhones except for an iPhone 7. Definitely thinking about picking up an xr for the esim feature

I haven’t had the best experience with DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Service) so far, at least when using T-Mobile. It will work good for awhile then data will start stalling or running very slow at random. Also I’ve noticed that Ookla tests only run to about 65 MB’s at the most in the DL test with DSDS on, but will run full length with it off, and this particularly has been with any carrier.

Anyone notice any weirdness with DSDS like I just mentioned on AT&T?

If you dont mind me asking, what do you pay for your two plans? When I looked each would require about $60. I would like to have two providers but would only need the Verizon line as a backup.

Could get away with $70 total right now on America’s best two networks! AT&T Prepaid works with e-SIM and has a deal right now with autopay for $45/mo. Visible (Verizon) is $25 right now and includes hotspot. Visible has its issues but as a backup data source for me it’s working great!

I had a hunch this might be happening but no proof of it. I definitely see hesitation on the data connection in some areas.

I did too. Thanks again. And I’m seriously considering picking up a newer iPhone for the dual sim capability

You can get Visible a Verizon MVNO for $40/month but would require the physical SIM card slot.

I am not sure Visible which is LTE only (no verizon cdma coverage) would be a great choice for backup if you plan to venture out to the boonies where att has no signal.
