Tracfone and Total Wireless Phone Difference?

I am looking for a cheap prepaid phone and saw some LG Rebel 4 units at Best Buy online, the Total Wireless for $30 vs Tracfone for $40. Is there is a difference between them besides price? Both have the same model # LML212VC3PWP; so, I suspect it may just be branding, in which case it would seem to make sense to buy the cheaper one. Thanks in advance for ideas.

It used to be that the same phone model on Net10 or other TF sub-brands are cheaper than the TF counterparts because they use monthly plans which bring in more revenue, and you could not use phones of one sub-brand on another sub-brand. But now it seems OK for a rep to re-brand a phone, so it makes sense to buy the cheaper model, as long as it's compatible with the carrier you want to use under Tracfone.

That's what I thought. I'd like Verizon, and it seems these are the CDMA models.

These are CDMA only models. The models ending in DL have the radios, and thus the ability, to operate with all three Service providers SIM cards.

In some cases. And maybe more willing to do it for TF. But they would do a SM E5 on TW. I know others did get the same device on TF.

I activated a TW iPhone SE on TracFone via chat. No problem at all, everything went smoothly. Used the sim that came with the phone.
The same SE also sold as a TracFone version but was more expensive. But it did come with a service card, hence the higher price.
Bottom line OP, both versions are the same except for price.
