Thanks. Does Kroger collect taxes and fees on these cards, or is it like Target that collects no taxes and fees?

They do for me. Almost 10% in taxes/fees in Washington state.

They do but in my case (VA), it is just a flat 50c per item.

    13% off on $75 to $300 refills from Feb 25 to March 3, 2021

First time I see denominations higher than $100 being sold for at&t prepaid. they must be for those multi-month plans.
But of course you can use them for any plan.

So...does anybody have a crystal ball available?

Should I buy a $300 AT&T Prepaid refill card at 13% off by tomorrow, 3/3/21, for $261 ($21.75/30 days), or wait for a future 15% off to buy it for $255 ($21.25/30 days)?

Kroger in my location doesn't charge taxes or fees on AT&T Prepaid refill cards.

It will be used for a $300 AT&T Prepaid 360 day plan renewal that expires 7/16/21.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Only once in the last five times I have noticed the promotion, they have offered 15% OFF (Oct 2020), so it doesn't look too likely they will do it again soon. 13% off is just $6 short of the optimal $255 for a $300 refill. Not too bad in my opinion.

The good thing for you is that you are still more than four months away from the expiration date, and they seem to be running these discounts almost on a monthly basis lately. So you may have 2, 3 or even 4 more chances to see what they might offer before the due date, but there may be a series or bad offers (e.g. flat $5 off, < 10%off etc like some recent ones).

Thanks for your feedback. I have a digital coupon for 4x fuel points for gift card purchases, so I may just do it now and stop worrying about it!

It wasn't meant to be. When I added the $300 card to my cart, it still showed a total of $261, but when I got to checkout, it ADDED taxes and fees!

So I used the "trick" suggested of using a MT zip code to avoid taxes and fees.

But then I got an email back in the middle of the night saying the transaction was declined! I can only guess it was because I used a MT zip code instead of the correct zip code for my CC.

Oh, well...now to wait for a 10% off sale, with an additional 5% Red Card discount, from Target!

That's strange. If you have bought refills from them before and wasn't charged tax, no idea why they did it this time.

I didn't buy using the promotion, but I just tried adding a $300 card (no discount) and got my regular flat 50c fee (911) at checkout (location VA). Nothing different. I have bought up to $100's refills in the past and they were processed relatively fast. IIRC only my very first purchase took few hours to go through.
