    Best Value tracfone suggestions

I have AT&T Phoenix 2 on Tracfone BYOP and it's been great for almost 3 years. But it's time to think about an upgrade.

Looking for something with a much better camera.
Budget <$100 (<$50 is even better)
Something with "Black Friday" sale potential!

    Thanks in advance.

Look through the Black Friday phone sales released so far and see which ones meet your requirements.

Fiesta2 has a pretty good camera.
The iPhone 6S has a very good camera, but the $80 refurbs are all gone, unless you want mine.
Samsung Crown should have a decent camera, and they're under $50 on a good sale.

When I bought the Phoenix 2 it was an obvious stand-out choice at the time. It seems there is nothing at the moment which is an obvious best value pick. In looking at specs, just about everything under $50 has basically the same. At around $100 we get into the android 9, 32gb, 1080p and other 'advanced' (entry level advanced) features.

Refurb option is OK with me, but not interested in apple.

looking at Moto G6 possibly ($100 from tracfone).

I like phones with high-res screens. I bought a like-new LG Q6 in 2018 and LG G6 in 2019 for $110 each on Ebay. But you have to pick a reputable seller.

Refurbs from TF are good buys and of excellent condition.

The Moto G6 is a significant upgrade in speed and camera quality from the Phoenix 2 - I have both.

I never used the Phoenix 2 as my daily carry phone. I bought it on a lark as a $20 Black Friday deal. The Phoenix 2 actually gets more use as an around-the-house micro-tablet, but I need Verizon for my main phone. Vz is the only one that has usable signal inside the house.

If I wanted to buy a $100 phone, the Moto G6 would be a strong contender. I can only think of one argument against it. It is a heavy phone. Mine is 9.75 ounces in the case. That is a pocket load. The extra weight is probably from the glass back. Don't know why they thought that was a good idea. Plastic would have been fine, especially in a case.

    25% off $100 isn't bad for the G6.
The $60 refurbs are gone from TF and TW websites.

I don't know if you'll do much better if you wait for Black Friday.

I see the G6 weight listed as 5.9 oz. How much does your case weigh?

    Best Value tracfone suggestions

Last year, I replaced my Phoenix 2 with a Moto G6. The Moto G6 is a great phone. I have since replaced the G6 with Samsung Galaxy S9, but I would rate the Moto G6 as a Better value. For the money, the G6 is a solid performer.

Thank you for your input everyone. I have ordered the G6! The additional 25% coupon sealed the deal for me, although service is required for that coupon it was a good deal either way.

It's a hybrid holster case. It is a pain to take the G6 case off, but the same case for my Phoenix 2 is 3-7/8 oz. A wallet case for the Phoenix 2 weighs 2-1/8 oz. So yeah, my case preference isn't helping the weight issue.

I'm using a Tracfone Sumsung Galaxy J3 Orbit that I got as reconditioned from the Tracfone website for $40. I like the reconditioned phones. All the ones I've bought look and work like new for cheap prices. I think they still have those reconditioned Orbit phones on the website. I think the camera is pretty good on this phone and I take a lot of photos (snapshots and pictures out on hikes, etc.) I like how I can hit the home button twice and it turns the camera on quick.

    Hi;

My wife has the Tracfone LG U2 on the Verizon network.
see....PamalaJaye was not the last holdout ;-)

I am looking at upgrading her phone, and have a couple questions:

In the Best Buy Black Friday ads (on Turkforums) they show the Tracfone Samsung Crown J7 for Black Friday's sale.
I see it is a dual phone (CDMA and GSM), but it does not state which sim you get with it.
I want her to stay on Verizon, so we have her Verizon, and my AT&T in house.
Makes for better chance of service when traveling.

    Questions:
    1. The BB ad states the J7 model # is TFSAS767VC3PWP.
I assume the "V" means Verizon.
Would I be correct to believe the phone comes with a Verizon sim?

    2. Can I purchase the J7 online Friday, and not have to go stand in line?

As always, thank you all for your help.
