Samsung S3 Frontier activation with esim?

TracFone customer service SWEARS that they can activate my S3. I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor SWEARS that they can activate my S3 and avoided my question about getting a refund if they failed to get it activated. I am hesitant to buy a yearly plan from Ebay only to find out that I can't get my money back in case they fail. And, who gives me my money back if they fail, Ebay or TracFone? Thanks.

You would file a complaint with Ebay. If Ebay rules in your favor, it will make the seller (Tracfone) reimburse you according to the refund/return terms FOR THAT LISTING.

TF should, but eBay will if TF doesn't.

Hopefully your above-mentioned conversation(s) were via chat, and if so, save the transcript(s) in case they are needed.

So... Taking your advice I started a text chat session and they said that there was no way for them to activate either a watch or an esim. I guess that's it for now. Thanks everyone.

This thread right here represents the epitome of the Tracfone user experience.

I don't think the person you were talking to knew what an ESIM is.

And since it's not sold by TF they won't cover any issues with activation.

I don't think the MVNOs can activate an eSIM in any device. Later iPhones have an eSIM and a nano slot for this, and I assume Android phones would also be dual SIM.

While phone probably do, the S3 Frontier isn't a phone. It's a watch.

Yes, watches don't have room for a physical SIM card. Any idea why the MVNOs can't activate eSIMs?

I have the s3 Frontier watch from Sprint and they don't use the eSIM either. I can only make or receive calls and data when I have a Bluetooth connection with my phone.

My guess is they just don't have the infrastructure to program them. Or something preventing them from using numbers outside their assigned block.

I'm not really up on the details of eSIM.
