    No tethering over 5G?

I guess that’s one trade off of not raising prices for 5g services like Verizon and AT&T are doing.

I googled that quote in the OP and found this article which appears to be the source.

Good speeds from their 5G test, however.

They aren’t using the same device for both tests. Still a nice increase but improved ping times? And what’s the actual difference in speeds?

I didn't state that Jack was correct. I only posted the article which was the source of Jack's quote. The author of the article didn't seem to state why she made that statement.

It would appear from the link that shilohcane posted that there isn't yet any evidence of T-Mobile restricting tethering on 5G.

Also funny claiming 2 to 4x faster than LTE peaking at 227Mbps. The author must be in an area with little LTE spectrum. I've hit more that on 2 carrier LTE.

    all this posturing.

    Here's another source:

    https://youtu.be/cUXUDKb4H7c

says that due to a temporary firmware limitation in that phone, tethering is over 4G only.

That's far, far different from a blanket statement saying "but tethering is only 4G!!!"
