Same thing when I bought one off Amazon. Phone wouldn't activate. They sent label, I sent back, gave me refund. Does not happen overnight but it did eventually happen.

I believe if the purchased item is not "as described" (fail to activate or activate without the bundled minutes), eBay's return policy still applies even the listing specified "no return".

Also, who's to say Rocks2368 didn't contact a TF CSR that said that FB page isn't official TF!? Huh? Did you think of THAT!?

    Anyway, good find, HFUN!

It's like arguing with someone who insists that the earth is flat and everyone else is wrong. I know one of those people.

Tracfone told Rocks2368 because it was posted on Facebook, this is absolute confirmation Tracfone is part of the deep state

Yep, that is the official Tracfone ebay. Purchased several phones and plans multiple times from them.

but I jumped in here to say that I too had great difficulty getting my Crown phone activated. Spent about 45 minutes on the chat line with an agent who thankfully never gave up trying to activate it. every time we thought he was successful I tried to make a call and got that Verizon message. He was very perplexed as to why it wouldn't activate. He kept going back to his bag of tricks but nothing seemed to work. Until he had an idea of what the problem could be and put me on hold and finally that was successful. Unfortunately I don't remember what he said the problem was.

I also remember reading someone else who had difficulty getting their Crown activated. The problem seems inherent to the phone and has nothing to do with whether or not that eBay listing is valid. You just didn't have an agent who didn't give up like mine. A lazier agent might have given up and blamed something else as the reason why it wouldn't activate, like a perfectly legitimate Tracfone listing.

Found my chat transcript of my activation conversation with Tracfone. Apparently something needed to be updated on their end in order to get the Crown activated.

This chat part picks up after several attempts to activate it (Crown is my first phone that doesn't have a removable battery so I got a little confused about where the SIM is located) :

Pablo : Is it possible to remove the SIM card?Pablo : Are you still there? If I do not get a response from you within one minute, this session will have to end.
You : Ok. I am taking off the back
    Pablo : Okay.
You : I am still here. Takes a while to type. Patience, my friend
    Pablo : Okay.
You : Just realized this phone doesn't have a back to come off. where is the sim located?
Pablo : On the side. You need to use a clip paper or a needle to pull the SIM tray out.
    You : Ok
    You : getting a clip
Pablo : Make sure to have the phone off. Okay.
You : Glad you said that. Ok turing it off
    Pablo : Good. Okay.
You : Trying to open the compartment
    Pablo : Okay.
    You : got it open
You : see the sim card
    Pablo : Alright.
Pablo : Leave it there. I will make an update and I will let you know when to put it back in.
    You : ok
    Pablo : Thank you.
    Pablo : One moment, please.
    You : ok
    Pablo : Alright.
Pablo : The update has been made. Insert the SIM card, turn the phone back on and try to make another call.
    You : Ok
You : turning phone back on
    You : rebooting
You : trying to make a call
    Pablo : Okay.
    You : success!!!!
    Pablo : Awesome.
Pablo : Is there anything else that I can assist you with?
You : That is all. Thank you
Pablo : Great. You are welcome.
