Only actual fix is to change your number. But then you'll probably get someone else's robo calls

I agree with hyelton. I don't think you can fix this problem unless you change your number, and doing this will not guarantee that you will never get any more of those calls, too. It's like an endless problem. I've read hundreds of reports filed at http://whycall.me and also other complaint boards about these phone scams. Nothing can help us. I personally choose to just ignore every incoming call, unless I expect someone's call.

I've gotten dozens of calls from "extended warranty" people, in addition to "we want to buy your house" and "please take care of your IRS debt before we have to send the police out".

If you think changing numbers will solve that, you will be disappointed.

I haven't answered a call unless the number is in my phone book for at least ten years. If yours is a business phone and you have to answer, you'll just have to put up with it.

At least your not getting the amount I have the last 4 days on one of my lines. The first day it started I got around 100 calls from the SAME COMPANY in one day... Now it's down to around 30 the last few days from the same freaking company trying to sell me health insurance. Every single time they say "hey ask bunns are you insured now?". That's what they have my name as haha.

Got a call a couple days ago, “phone showed potential spam” which would normally cause me not to answer but I answered and it was the local doctors office calling about results from some tests I had a few days earlier.

And, if you hadn't answered, they would have left you a voicemail and you would have added the number to your phone book for the next time.

    Does anyone know

iPhone users can turn on Silence unknown callers.
It lets anyone you have called or texted go through, as well as people in your contacts. Every other unknown number immediately goes to VM for you to delete or call back.

Of course you hope you’re rich uncle isn’t calling.

One of the issues was that Medicare and normal health insurance plans were both holding open enrollment. Since the open enrollment for Medicare has ended, my junk calls have dropped considerably. I still get them but most of them revolve around my stellar credit card use and getting an extended warranty for my car.

So it’s ended? I guess that explains the huge decrease in calls the last few days now

For Medicare, open enrollment was through December 7. The health insurance through my employer ended on November 19.

My calls where coming in crazy between the 10th and 17th. Even when picking up a call for one another would be calling. All in all it was around 300 calls in a weeks time

Wasn’t even my name... some name that was “ask bunns”
