My iPhone 7 256 gig is not a memory size TMo sold; Apple store did and I used it on a Verizon MVNO before switching to TMo. It is unrecognized. My wife's 32 gig iPhone 7, same situation, is recognized. Is your unrecognized device perhaps a CONFIGURATION TMo never offered?

My question was primarily wanting to know how my Huawei device was recognized. This device is not sold or available on any USA carrier.

Funny thing about that, it reminds me of a similar story. Several years ago I had a phone that At&t Mobility never sold but it was recognized by their system. The device was the Sony Ericsson P850 that was unlocked and fully compatible. Surprised me that the system did recognize it though. Sometimes these things are unpredictable. As long as the phone works just fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

The legendary p850. Nice device, if it was anything like the p800 which I had back home in the UK.

I think it was probably the p800 now. I remember that the next and last model of that series was the p950 but I never owned one.

I loved my old Sony Ericsson phone. Thanks for the pictures. The difference was that on mine the hinged flip had a physical keyboard on the inside portion and the number dial pad on the outside.

Definitely the SE P800. It was branded AT&T Wireless, not the same company as today's At&t Mobility.

Alright , those were also the days that some device models differed slightly between Europe and USA.
