    LTE Band 14 usage?

I notice today my phone is on Band 14 which I thought was for FirstNet? I even placed a call into verify. I'm using S10+ factory unlocked.

I think they've eased up on when B14 is utilized by commercial users because FirstNet devices have priority on all bands so it doesn't make a difference. Just my 2c.

Here is an excerpt from the above linked article:

"...When not in use by FirstNet subscribers, AT&T customers can enjoy Band 14’s added coverage and capacity..."

My understanding is that this was the AT&T/FirstNet plan all along. FirstNet users get priority on Band 14, but others also use it. I think one of the problems is there are so many articles available online that don't accurately disseminate the Band 14 FirstNet information.

Its been known since Firstnet was announced that B14 would be open to everyone when there is not an emergency.

Yep. I'm in the Birmingham area and I find myself on B14 a lot. Unfortunately speeds lately have been very poor overall

Bummer. I didn't get to do any speed test while travelling. Hopefully that won't continue to be an issue. I know on band 30 I've gotten over 100mbps (at night though)

Your GS10+ can do 4x4 on B30, up to 200 Mbps. 100 is entirely possible on its own. No CA for that test?

I would love to see it at 200mbps. I'm not sure when the conditions are right to be able to obtain those speeds or than making sure I'm on LTE+ on Band 30 late at night.
