    Comcast merger?

    https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/t-mo...-with-comcast/

    I would happily say, bye-bye T-Mo.

This was reported years ago before the Sprint merger was even announced, when it was a rumor that Sprint and TMobile wanted to merge, that the end result was going to be a merged TMobile/Sprint being acquired by a cable giant. It makes sense from a Comcast point of view, the TMobile/Sprint merger is the horizontal merger that will be hardest to get through, so let TMobile and Sprint do the hard work first, then do a vertical merger with them, instead of individually getting Sprint, then going after TMobile.

Supposedly tmobile plans to work out a merger deal with Comcast after sprint closes.

If this rings true and happens I'll bail. Id rather put up with att than comcast

I'd rather put up with Visible (Verizon) than put up with Comcast anything.

Here is the verge article which contains much more information. It appears the documents were allowed to be used by the states attorney's in the Sprint lawsuit as well.

I too will cancel the moment any negotiations are reported.

It essentially will all have been a farce, knowing full well Comcast wouldn't keep anything positive going.

Don't be a fool Comcast or T-Mobile if you're reading this.

I would cancel my service as well, nothing good ever comes out of Comcast.

Agreed, I'd be moving on as well. Not dealing with Comcast.

These are opinionated threads. The original poster just stated that it's possible Comcast could merge with the new tmobile, If the tmobile and sprint merger does go through. And the thought of Comcast merging with the new tmobile is anxiety stricken! Thus everyone saying they'll leave if it does happen. lol!

    Comcast merger?

I brought up this subject in 2017 if some of ya’ll recall as did Terry and a few others.

My opinion: Comcast doesn’t rule my life neither does Deutsche Telekom or SoftBank.

I know Comcast (NBC Universal) has a bad reputation for their cable TV/home internet customer service in the past but there is also some good that could come from a company with the balance sheet, owned media empire and fiber to compete head to head on all fronts (if not best) with ATT/Verizon.

If T-Mobile US continues to provide me with excellent coverage, a faster than average mobile data network and the ability to keep my grandfathered plan why would I leave?

I’d like to think at this point of my life my fickleness has mellowed a bit.

Besides we don’t know if the interest is to merge or be bought out completely assuming the article still has validity.
“The Internet wasn’t meant to be metered in bits and bytes, so it’s insane that wireless companies are still making you buy it this way. The rate plan is dead — it’s a fossil from a time when wireless was metered by every call or text.” John Legere 1/5/2017

Because you've found that everyone has similar excellent coverage and mobile data network speeds, and that you can easily beat that grandfathered plan with something new from someone else?
