Locked Verizon Moto E5 Play on Page Plus

I was considering buying an E5 Play
    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Verizon-W...lack/205688104

Does anyone know if locked Verizon phones can be used on Page Plus. Do I have to unlock it or can I simply activate it on page plus without issues?

Vzw Prepaid phones can't be used on Vzw MVNOs until they have been used on Vzw Prepaid for a certain amount of time or until a certain amount has been paid for Vzw Prepaid service.

    Prepaid Device Unlocking Policy

Devices that you purchase from Verizon and certain devices purchased from our retail partners are locked for 60 days after activation. After 60 days, we will automatically remove the lock. Following the 60 day lock period following device purchase, we do not lock our phones at any time.

If you purchase a 4G Phone-in-a-Box from our retail partners, you should review the back of the box to determine the lock period applicable to that device.

Verizon phones will need to be unlocked to be used. Here is the page about it: https://www.verizon.com/about/consum...locking-policy

    Thanks for the info!
60 days is not too long - provided they actually do unlock it.

Fortunately, the unlock process is automatic with Verizon and you should not have to contact CS after 60 days from date of purchase.

Is 60 days definite, no matter what? I'm only asking because of the "If you purchase a 4G Phone-in-a-Box from our retail partners, you should review the back of the box to determine the lock period applicable to that device" part at the link I posted above.

True, and the 60 days AFTER ACTIVATION part would mean that it has to be on a Verizon Prepaid plan during that time.

Thanks for the clarification. You are absolutely correct. A user can't buy the phone, never activate the phone and expect it to be automatically unlocked after 60 days. The carrier expects some type of revenue via service costs apart from the cost of the phone.

The OP wants to unlock a Verizon Prepaid Moto E5 Play phone from Walmart (aka phone-a-box) so the prepaid rule "used on Vzw Prepaid for a certain amount of time or until a certain amount has been paid for Vzw Prepaid service" applies. According to this post https://www.howardforums.com/showthr...7#post17010147 the amount the user must add to the Verizon account to be eligible for an unlock of the E5 Play is $50.
